Best time to visit Dubai: weather by month

Dubai is warm all year and very dry. Average daytime highs range from about 24 °C in January to 40 °C in July and August, based on NASA POWER data for 2014–2023. Total rainfall is only about 110 mm a year, most of it in winter, with January the wettest month at about 27 mm.

The cooler months are the most comfortable for beaches, desert trips and walking outdoors: December (26 °C), January (24 °C), February (25 °C) and March (28 °C). November (30 °C) and April (31 °C) are warm but still pleasant outdoors in the morning and evening.

From May to October highs stay between 35 °C and 40 °C, so plan outdoor activities early or late in the day and save indoor attractions for midday. Dubai International (DXB) is about 14 km from the centre and Al Maktoum (DWC) about 32 km, both measured in a straight line.
